Lantern Walk - Tuesday, November 12 at 6pm

Join friends and families for a lantern-lit stroll through the Crestwood Forest, with songs, stories, cider, and donuts!

Take in Crestwood’s enchanting forest and the autumn evening air with friends & families to revel in lanterns’ glow as we descend through the forest to the lower playground.

After gathering in the amphitheater for songs & stories, we’ll walk back “home”, where everyone can enjoy some donuts & hot cider. Please bring a reusable cup for cider.

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Crestwood!

The book fair will be held in the LMC on Monday November 4 from 8 am - 8 pm during parent-teacher conferences. Grab a book for your student and one for their teacher! Your donations help build classroom libraries.

If you are not able to make the fair, or if friends and family want to shop the fair, and support Crestwood readers, please visit the online store.

Scholastic is offering a pre-order option for Dog Man: Big Jim Begins: A Graphic Novel (Dog Man #13) which releases December 3, 2024.

Shop the online store and use the code FAIRSHIP for free shipping. CAPT will get credit for these pre-sale purchases.

CAPT General Meeting 10/22 Recap

It was so great to see so many Crestwood families at the CAPT General Meeting on Tuesday evening! An extra special thank you to Mrs McMahon and Principal Lawler for coming to present on the Science of Reading and the strategies Crestwood teachers are implementing to support students’ learning.

Wrapping up the Cricket Dash!

Cricket Dash donations were due on Thursday October 10, and we not only met our goal, we exceeded it!!!

Over $17,000 was raised with our largest fundraising event of the year! CAPT spent approximately $5,000 to host the event, which included t-shirts for all students and staff, DJ, snacks, and reward items. We raised a net amount of $12,000. The CAPT board met with Principal Lawler on Wednesday to talk about needs of the school including some wish list items for teachers.

In addition, we are excited for an inflatable day on Tuesday November 19 to celebrate reaching our goal. Each class will get the opportunity to visit the gym for 30 minutes to participate in an obstacle course, slide, basketball, and hula hoop toss inflatables rotation. Students also earned music during lunch and a treat for reaching the $5,000 and $10,000 goals. Those dates are TBD.

Volunteer to Organize an Upcoming Event!

There are still some event committees that could use volunteers. Without event committees, these events will not be able to happen this year. If you value one of these events, please sign up to help organize it! CAPT board members will be assisting all event committees.
