Teacher Appreciation Week

May 6–10!

CAPT is planning something each day of the week to show our appreciation to the wonderful teachers and staff at Crestwood! Families can show their love and support by sending in cards or letters.

We also need posters by May 5 to adorn the outside doors. Please email captboard@crestwoodcapt.us if you would like to contribute!

THANK YOU for making a difference to those people who do so much for our children!

The Caper is Coming!

The Crestwood Caper celebrates the end of another successful school year, and is an important fundraiser for CAPT. Day-of events include classroom booths, bake sale, food trucks, obstacle course, toy raffle and 50/50 raffle.

This event would not be possible without participation from the Crestwood community. Please help make this event a success by signing up for a shift (or two!) Kids are welcome to help alongside their families. Thank you for your support!

Sign-up to volunteer at your class booth here!

The Caper Silent Auction starts online on May 8 and features donations from community businesses and Crestwood families. If you are able to contribute, we will gladly accept gift cards, new goods, services and/or experiences. Due by May 1.  Fill out the donation form here, or email Chelsey chelseymariegreen@crestwoodcapt.us to arrange your donation.

Toy Raffle Donations Wanted! Spring cleaning? Consider donating new or like-new toys, board games, craft kits, and sports equipment for elementary-aged kids. Students will have the chance to win these items on the day of the Caper, and your childs’ old toys will have a new home that’s not a landfill. Smaller toys such as fidgets, stuffies, bouncy balls, beaded necklaces, and pencils are also appreciated.

Drop off #1 - Crestwood, during conferences Thursday or Friday. We’ll have labeled boxes near the main entrance.

Drop off #2 - Crestwood, behind the red silo - Friday, April 19, 3-5 pm.

Volunteering at Crestwood

2023-24 Volunteer Signup. Here you’ll find a list of opportunities big and small, in bite-sized pieces across the year, or bigger commitments confined to a short part of the calendar, including ways to help both in-person or remotely.

More resources for volunteers: If you’re not sure what’s entailed with a particular task or event, you can check the “logistics” document, which details everything from purpose and scope, to budget, to-do lists, pre-made signups, and editable flyers. These documents can be found at the hyperlinks in the 2023-24 Volunteer Signup. In addition, we now have two columns in the signup, showing both the volunteers for the previous year as well as the upcoming year. This provides a direct resource for questions from someone with firsthand experience. If you still have questions, please reach out!
