COVID Information

If your child is symptomatic and you have insurance please call your kids doctor. They can usually get tested same day, and get results in 24 hours or less. This is the BEST way to go if they have symptoms.

MMSD test clinics

If they don’t have symptoms or you don’t have insurance, MMSD has a lot of testing sites. Memorial High School is often the busiest, but there are many clinics on the west side. Often results from any site using COVID Connect (English , Español) to register take longer.

Here is a spreadsheet that’s updated regularly by MMSD showing all testing locations. Crestwood is coming in a few weeks. COVID Clinic Test Sites.

Free in-home tests

Through the US Postal Service, you can order four (4) free rapid COVID tests shipped to your home (maximum 4 per household). MMSD guidance is fluid as is the science on COVID, but having rapid tests on hand may allow your child to get back in school sooner if they should test positive. To order your free testing kits, go to https://special.usps.com/testkits.

Through the state of Wisconsin, you can get an at-home saliva collection kit, which is a PCR test. You will need to collect your sample live on Zoom, so a phone or computer is required. To order your free PCR test, go to https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/collection.htm.
