CAPT

Crestwood Association of Parents and Teachers

Year-end Survey

The past few years have been a balancing act for all of us—that includes navigating tricky waters to bring back our beloved events, often in a reimagined way. Many of our volunteers were new to Crestwood, and didn’t know what these events looked like before 2020 hit. CAPT has done its best to bring you information, events, and opportunities in the best way possible this past year, but now we need your help to let us know how we can do better.

In order to best serve scholars, families, and teachers/staff, we need your feedback. Please take a few minutes to complete our anonymous year-end survey, with questions to help us improve our events, meetings, volunteer opportunities, communication, fundraising, and more. We are listening!

At the end of the anonymous survey, you’ll find a link to enter for a chance to win a $50 VISA gift card. A winner will be randomly selected on the last day of school, June 8, 2023. Please note that this link had a glitch for our very first respondents, but should be working correctly now. If you’ve already completed the survey and were unable to enter the drawing, please click through the survey without submitting to find the link to the drawing.

Volunteer Opportunities for 2023-24 School Year

We’ve been hearing some very constructive feedback on how we can make volunteering with CAPT better. Two things have really stood out and we’ve already made changes to help!

Earlier access to volunteer openings: Many people have indicated that they would like more notice of volunteering opportunities for planning purposes. Our 2023-24 volunteer signup is now open. This webpage contains a list of opportunities big and small, in bite-sized pieces across the year, or bigger commitments confined to a short part of the calendar, including ways to help both in-person or remotely. There is something for everyone, so sign up now and check that off your to-do list.

More resources for volunteers: We’ve created two new resources to help volunteers, especially those willing to lead efforts like events or fundraisers. First, most of our events now have an associated “logistics” document, detailing everything from purpose and scope, to budget, to-do lists, pre-made signups, and editable flyers. These documents can be found at the hyperlinks in the volunteer signup. In addition, we now have two columns in the signup, showing both the volunteers for the previous year as well as the upcoming year. This provides a direct resource for questions from someone with firsthand experience, in addition to the Board.

Get on (the CAPT) Board!

Do you love what CAPT has done this year and want to help it continue? Or do you have shiny new ideas to help us improve? Join the Board! We are looking for new members to join the CAPT Board for the upcoming year. If you’re interested see the volunteer signup or email CAPTBoard@CrestwoodCAPT.us for more information.
